Description:

One of the best looking cases available!

Made from aluminium is gives fantastic looks coupled with the cooling that this conductive metal gives.

The front 5.25" bays are covered by a sliding motorised panel.  This slides up and down to reveal either the CD-ROM bays or the power buttons and thermometer.

The thermometer is linked to sensors inside the case so you can always see how warm your components are getting.

The mainboard panel is removeable for easy access to upgrading or removing the motherboard.  The case also features a PCI reinforcement bar for firmness.

For extra connectivity the front panel also has multi-media/USB/IEEE1394 modular ports.

Case is now black - here's an image of the front.

Any ATX board would fit.

Comments seem to confirm that a PSU swop would be benefical. Any ideas as to what type of PSU??

Response by Rob D
I'd go for a Levicom or an Enermax

Nice case, all my family were very impressed with the sliding door. Set up is a bit of a mission as supplied documentation is not that clear, but if you are not too bothered about front sound conectors its not a big deal. The case itself is light, with nice round edges I only cut myself once :-). The case came with one 8cm fan, however this does not work so I am replacing it. The fan mounts to the rear in its own little 'caddy', with room for another 8cm fan. I would suggest however that anyone who gets one of these cases also looks at those PCI exaust fan you get since this should help with cooling. I replaced the PSU for a much more powerful one right away, so I can not comment on how loud it is, but in general the case is as quiet as you have any right to expect. Of course as mentioned you can not fit a lot of 'fan mate' type things. Also the door will block an vents so HDD coolers utilising fans are pretty much moot, though a heatsink one would work fine. My brother is so impressed with this case, all be only because it is black and shiny and has a door, that he is getting one soon. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Will you ever be stocking the PSR5605 black/silver version shown here? performance-pcs.com/catalog/images/PSR5605B_1.jpg

Response by Robd
No, we have no plans to restock any Skyhawk cases.

Will the Thermaltake Hardcano 12 fit behind the sliding door on this case and I am hoping that with this case being made from Aluminium it will be considerably quieter that my current steel case (which is acually quieter with the cover off!) ?

Response by Robd
probably not.
