Corsair Carbide 500R Black Midi Tower Gaming Case
The beauty on the inside goes beyond the black-painted interior. Corsair’s innovative cable management system provides a straightforward way to route cables behind the motherboard, not across it where it can interfere with airflow and give your system a cluttered look.
Description:The 500R features outrageous cooling potential. Four included fans (2x 120mm in front, a 200mm on the side, and a rear 120mm exhaust) cool your components, and USB 3.0, native SSD support, and eight expansion slots make it easy to build a rock-solid system. A removable hard drive cage means you can get more direct airflow over GPUs up to 452mm in length, and internal 240mm radiator support gives you tons of cooling flexibility. Captive thumbscrews provide easy removal of the side panels and our innovative cable routing makes your system clean and tidy.

psu & 500R + p5Q premium by bladerunner
I am looking to build my first pc and I have the socket 775 Asus P5Q Premium motherboard using this motherboard which I have had for sometime. I am considering the Carbide 500R case and partnering it with the Corsair Pro Series AX850 CMPSU-850AXUK. will these all be compaitble ie will the asus motherboard fit in the 500R case and also will the psu fit this case.
I want to use the onboard raid feature on the Asus motherboard & I have x2 300GB w/digital raptors for this. I am not in to gaming but I just want a reliable and fast pc. I am not sure if there will be problems regard the case connections i.e USB 3.0 and the connections on the motherboard which are USB 2.0 but i think I am right in saying USB 3.0 is backwards compatible. I hope to add USB 3.0 via an add in Pci card can you recommend any?
Yes this is compatible.
Thanks for your question.
Will my rig fit? by coldtrust
Please can you tell me if all this fit into this case?
#48921 = cpu
#44806 = ram
#46239 = psu
#46799 = cpu cooler
#48443 = mobo
#44533 = gpu
I am always worried that that the cpu cooler will be too big to fit on top of the cpu and mobo - nevermind with the ram and gpu in there too!
that looks fine except the cpu will not fit in an fm1 (fusion) motherboard , you will need an am3+ motherboard like this 48564 1
WILL THIS CARD FIT IN THIS CASE ? by REG

fans by ganji
hi im planning on buying one of these cases but have a couple of questions first,
1, do any of the fans have led's?
2, in order for me to replace the fans what type is needed? ie 4pin pwm, 3pin or molex
Looking at corsairs spec's the fan's do not have LEDs on them but it does'nt say anything about the adaptor type. For such information please try calling out customer service team who can help you out with that one.
Question by maza
will an ASUS Rampage IV Extreme X79 fit in this?
No - like all other midi cases, this one supports both ATX and mATX mobos. The Rampage IV Extreme is an EATX board and is far too large to fit comfortably in this case
