I have a asrock combi motherboard running on 754 with 3100 sempron cpu and a ati9550 graphic card ! would it pay me to buyAMD Athlon64 3800 Venice chip or buy a better graphics card for gaming,Hope you can help thanks Clive

Sweet processor, overclocks really really well, stock cooling is pleanty quiet. get a board (abit) which supports cool and quiet and your on the way to a very nice quiet system

hi, can someone clarify a few things for me: 1) what is the FSB of this CPU? 2) is it SKT 939, some places have been saying this CPU (Athlon64 3800 Venice) is an AM2 socket CPU. thanks.

no, this cpu is not an am2 cpu. it is definitely socket 939.

Will this awesome processor work with my asus A8V-e deluxe mobo bear in mind it has the via k8t890 north bridge? i only ask because i was told that this is a dual core chip and after looking around on the net a bit i can see no proof that it is a dual core chip, my mobo will not take dual core:-(, me thinks the guy in the shop is a bit stupid. still i would like to know for sure?
