will this fit my current laptop? by jake
I currently have a HP-Compaq Presario C500 laptop. I have the default cpu installed and want to upgrade to this one. (Current cpu is Intel (R) Celeron (R) M CPU 340 (1.73 GHZ (whhich is apparently not enough to run vista at minimum specs although i am))
If this won\\'t fit can you recommend some (around this price) that will?
er, no. this isnt a mobile CPU - we do not stock laptop CPU's currently
Question by Ann
Does this CPU include a fan or heatsink or would I need to buy a seperate one?
Yes, this does include a HSF
comparison by Jim Roy
How does this CPU compare to my current Pentium D 915 ?
Is it superior enough to justify an upgrade ?
Is there a more powerful processor that I can use in an Asus P5VDC-MX ?
According to Asus, only Revision 2 of the P5VDC-MX will support dual core processors. if you have version 1, then your board will take up to a Pentium D960
Will my mobo fit the criteia? by Samuel
My orginal cpu is a intel celeron northwood 2.7ghz 478 pin can i use this new cpu?
I'm afraid not - no... You'd need a new socket 775 Motherboard and probably new RAM too.
