No, the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe is a socket 939 based motherboard, this CPU requires an socket AM2+ based motherboard.

Question  Does it have thermal paste pre-applied? by Gordon

I have just taken delivery of this processor and was about to fit the fan to the processor/motherboard when I wondered whether it can be fitted directly as it comes out of the box or whether I need to go out and purchase some thermal paste separately.

The heatsink already comes with thermal paste pre-applied to the bottom of the heatsink.
